Vic: Householders could cut power bills by half: study

MELBOURNE, Jan 21 AAP - Households could easily save almost half their annual energy
bills and be kinder to the environment in the process, a new study has found.

People could save significant amounts of money by adopting energy saving measures such
as washing clothes in cold water, unplugging appliances which were not being used and
by using energy efficient lighting, according to the Environment Victoria report.

The average home could prevent the release of three tonnes of greenhouse gases annually
