Burning ambition to be scientists?

A VISIT to the science lab fired the imagination of pupils from Martongate Primary School.

As part of their science week, they made the short trip to Headlands School to find out about chemical reactions, bunsen burners and fire- writing.

They saw how magnesium glows when heated and also worked with other chemicals and gasses to give them a feel of what they can expect in science lessons when they step up to Headlands after the summer.

Dr Carl Rawlins, from Headlands, said: "They loved using the bunsen burners and it got them enthused about science."
