PrimeTel Selects and Deploys Amdocs Compact Convergence to Support the Launch of the First MVNO in Cyprus.

Rapid deployment of Amdocs' software for real-time charging, customer care and value-added services will enable PrimeTel to secure leading foothold as market opens to new entrants

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that Cyprus' PrimeTel PLC has deployed the Amdocs Compact Convergence software for real-time charging, customer care and value-added services to support the launch of its MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) operations. Amdocs Compact Convergence will also support PrimeTel's existing fixed and broadband Internet and television services, replacing multiple systems. With a single system supporting all of its lines of business, PrimeTel will be able to introduce quad-play service bundles and promotions and reduce operational and maintenance costs.

As in many other markets worldwide, new regulations have opened the Cyprus marketplace to new MVNO entrants. "Deploying Amdocs Compact Convergence in record time will enable us to be the first MVNO to launch in Cyprus," said Mr. Hermes Stephanou, Managing Director at PrimeTel. "The Amdocs software will allow us to quickly go to market with new services and attractive price plans that address the needs of new market segments and of subscribers that are looking to replace their existing mobile provider."

Amdocs is a leader in the MVNO space with more than 25 deployments at MVNOs around the world. Amdocs Compact Convergence provides a single, next generation IN (intelligent network) solution for convergent real-time charging, customer care and self-care to support prepaid, postpaid and value-added services. Amdocs Compact Convergence includes network connectivity modules and can be rapidly deployed to interface with network elements. When PrimeTel extends Amdocs Compact Convergence to support its wireline and broadband lines of business, this built-in capability will ensure the smooth replacement of PrimeTel's legacy systems and subscriber migration to the Amdocs software.
